Training

Training takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 to 6:00 pm at Burrendah Park North Oval, located across from Southlands Shopping Center.

Our sessions are led by three volunteer coaches, our committee and parents who guide athletes through various drills and skills in Athletics. Attendance is flexible—you’re welcome to join us on both days, just one, or not at all.

Training includes a range of events such as High Jump, Long Jump, Sprints, Long Distance, Discus, Shot Put, and Hurdles. Each session will focus on 3 or 4 different skills, with a new set of drills each time.

We also offer two free “come and try” sessions before you need to register, so you can experience the training first-hand.

For younger athletes (U10 and below), it’s important for parents to stay during the sessions. We also welcome any parents who would like to assist with training.
